What does Seagull Venture actually do?
We make your business grow in three ways: by making you more visible with high authority, by helping you automate the marketing and sales work that normally needs people, and by building a documented case for availing benefits from government schemes.
Most clients come to us for one of the three and end up taking two. We have been doing this from Bhopal since 2014.
Who do you work with?
Businesses with potential and the urge to grow. Our clients include startups, manufacturing units, food processors, hospitals, schools and colleges, industry associations and government departments.
The common thread is an owner who wants to grow and does not want to build a marketing team to do it.
I am a small business. Am I too small for you?
No. The whole reason we built the technology was that our advice kept hitting the same wall, the client could not afford the people needed to execute it.
How do we start?
Book a short meeting and tell us your objectives.
After that we research your current position and the competition, give you a written plan with cost, benefit, IRR and ROI, deploy it, and handhold until it runs in your hands.
How long before I see something?
Setting the plan with the founders and owners usually takes about a month.
Once the plan is ready, your visibility and authority start changing within a month, and the sales and marketing automation starts showing results in about two months.
Do you work outside Madhya Pradesh?
Yes. Our office is in Bhopal, and our MOJO Network publishers are live in nine states.
Scheme documentation is state-specific, so for a state outside MP we will tell you plainly at the start whether we know that state's schemes well enough to take the file.
How we are different
How are you different from a marketing agency?
An agency sells you hours and creatives. We sell you a system that keeps running after the retainer conversation ends, because the repeating work is done by bots rather than people.
We also do two things most agencies do not touch: scheme documentation and authority positioning.
Are you a consultancy or a technology company?
Both, and in that order historically. We started as consultants, found that the technology our advice depended on did not exist at a price small businesses could pay, so we built it.
We run those platforms ourselves, which is why three of the twelve case studies on this site are our own businesses.
Do you guarantee results?
We commit to the visibility, the authority signals and the automation tools. On sales results, nobody can give a guarantee, because this is a competitive market with a limited number of buyers.
What we do commit to is a written plan with the cost, the benefit and the return worked out before you spend anything, and handholding through deployment. If the plan does not convince you on paper, do not buy it.
Can I see your client names?
Case studies on this website are anonymised because most of those plans are still running, and naming the client would hand the method to their competitor.
References are available on request, and we will connect you with a client in a similar position before you commit.
Government schemes and documentation
Which schemes do you work on?
Industry-oriented schemes of the Union and state governments: capital subsidy, interest subsidy, grants, manpower assistance and similar support, for startups, manufacturing and the service industry.
The sectors we work in most are food processing, film making, pharma, export assistance and academics.
Will you get my subsidy approved?
No one can promise that, and we do not. What we do is tell you before you spend money whether you are genuinely eligible, build the scenario and the financials, and prepare a file that stands up to scrutiny.
If you are not eligible, we say so at the start rather than billing you to find out.
What do you actually do on a scheme file?
We work out a comparative analysis of all the benefits you are eligible for, along with the convergence between schemes, so that claiming one does not quietly cancel another.
From there we build the scenario, the financials and the file itself.
Do you arrange loans?
No. Seagull Venture does not assist clients in taking loans.
We prepare the project report, the scenario and the scheme case. The banking relationship stays yours.
My CA already does this. Why would I need you?
A CA files what has happened. We build the case for what you are proposing to do, which is a different document: market, competition, capacity, scenario and return, in the form the scheme committee expects.
Most of our documentation clients keep their CA and use us alongside.
The bots and the technology
What are the Engage Bots?
Four automations that cover the stages of getting and keeping a customer. Scout finds people already looking for what you sell, Greeter answers them, Closer qualifies and converts, and Keeper brings past buyers back.
They run around the clock without adding anyone to your payroll.
Do I need a technical person on my side?
No. We deploy it and we handhold until it runs.
If you have someone technical it goes faster, and we are happy to train them.
Will the bot talk to my customers in Hindi?
Yes, in Hindi, English or the mix most people actually use.
The language depends entirely on the knowledge base the bot is trained on, so tell us at the start which languages your customers use.
Does it work on WhatsApp?
Yes, it works on WhatsApp.
Depending on usage this can attract charges beyond our standard subscription.
What happens to my customer data?
It stays yours. We process it to run the service you have engaged us for, under the terms in our privacy policy, and we do not sell it or use it for anyone else.
Chat transcripts from a bot are kept for twelve months and then deleted.
Can I take the system with me if I stop working with you?
The knowledge base is transferable. We can hand it over for you to integrate with whatever you move to.
The PR and the other authority signals stay with you once delivered.
Money
How do you charge?
Three ways, depending on the work. Answer engine optimisation and PR run as an annual subscription, technology deployment is a plan plus handholding, and research and documentation are priced per assignment.
What does it cost?
PR plans start at ₹21,999 a year. Automation plans start at ₹50,000 a year. Both run up to custom plans built around what you actually need.
Research and documentation are quoted per assignment, once we know the scope.
Is there a contract?
Most plans are annual.
Do you take equity or revenue share instead of fees?
Yes, equity and revenue share arrangements are available. Startups often prefer them.
Working with us
Where are you based, and do I have to come to Bhopal?
Head office is in Bhopal.
Most work runs remotely, with site visits where the work needs them, such as a plant or an event.
Who will I actually be dealing with?
A small team, which is the point. Nine people and two advisors, so you deal with the person doing the work rather than an account manager relaying messages.
Is my information confidential?
Yes. Confidentiality is part of every engagement, and case studies on this site are anonymised. We will sign your NDA if you have one.
What are your working hours?
Monday to Saturday, 10 am to 6 pm. The bots answer at all hours. People do not.
